Dan is the Director of the Center for Space Standards & Innovation (CSSI), Chief Scientist, and space policy expert at COMSPOC. He is also the Program Manager of the Space Data Center, providing space situational awareness and analysis support to 30 government, civil, and commercial space operators in the Space Data Association.

Dan formed and administers the Space Safety Coalition, an ad hoc group of like-minded space entities working to ensure the long- term sustainability of space activities. He is a modeling, simulation, and analysis Subject Matter Expert as well as a senior policy analyst. Dan’s specialties include launch and early orbit operations, nanosatellites, collision avoidance, RF interference mitigation, space situational awareness, astrodynamics, and international standards development for space operations and orbital debris mitigation.
