Abstract:
Significant advances in software engineering practices and computational techniques necessitate modernizing foundational astrodynamics software. The routines originally released in 1999 have been updated and migrated to an open-source GitHub repository. This collection, primarily in C#, MATLAB, Python, C++, and Fortran, supports essential astrodynamics calculations. The modernization aims to establish a robust, source-controlled codebase, create a packageable library for easy integration, and implement modern practices like automated testing and documentation. By fostering a collaborative open-source environment, we aim to build a shared library that evolves with community needs and reduces the redundancy of developing similar tools independently.
